How often have you been really inspired and motivated to paint a scene only to have that inspiration dissipate halfway through the effort? Painting outdoors is both exhilarating and daunting. In this class, conducted on location, the students will be empowered through seeing, and thinking in terms of “the greater simplicity”. The instructor will encourage more expression through less manipulation of the medium. Daily critiques, several instructor demonstrations, lectures, and review of the formal principles of design are integral to this class. The student will learn to proceed with confidence and unabated enthusiasm from the outset, bringing their paintings to satisfactory completion. Portable easel and
transportation are necessary.
