Creating a good sense of depth in a picture is a challenge for most painters. This class will concentrate on how to achieve believable depth of field in your paintings by the use of color and composition. We will start by working with a limited palette to better understand temperature, and progress to full color palette. We will also do small size compositional studies leading to larger paintings. The class work will center on still life but these same principles apply to landscape painting too. You will be amazed at the improvement in your art! Please note: this class requires drawing experience; some basic painting experience is also helpful.
