Saturday classes at Scottsdale Artists’ School Youth Academy provide innovative visual-arts education to children and teens who want to be creative in their free time. Scottsdale professional artists, provide hands-on instruction in drawing and painting techniques to beginners while advanced students work independently with instructor guidance. Young artists, ages 8 & up can expect to have their artistic sensibilities valued and encouraged in exciting ways. Class size is limited.

Instructor -- Carrie Curran
CARRIE CURRAN is an oil painter, art instructor, and Director of Scottsdale Artists’ School Youth Academy. Her diverse activities and energetic approach to life and art inspire her emotionally charged paintings and bring passion to her classroom. She attended Indiana University with undergraduate work at Cambridge University, England and she has studied with renowned artists including Quang Ho, Matt Smith, Mark Daily, John Asaro, Sherri McGraw, and David Leffel. Curran exhibited her work at the residence of the United States Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of the international Art in Embassies Program. The artist is represented by Neiman Hayden Fine Arts Tempe, AZ, and Courtyard Gallery New Buffalo, MI. Featured in many shows, her work is owned by private and corporate collections nationally.
