This class will be focused on lighting, metering and getting photographs to look like what you painted or sculpted with the use of studio lighting. Students will learn how to properly set up, light and take professional-quality digital photographs of their two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork. Students should bring a piece of artwork to photograph (frames ok, no glass). Students must have a Digital camera that can be set for manual settings off program modes, a tripod, and their camera manual. Everyone will go home with one or two quality digital images that are appropriate to submit to juried shows, such as Scottsdale Artists’ School’s, The Best and The Brightest.
  • Class size limited to ten people, early registration is recommended.
  • MUST have an interchangeable Digital DSLR camera ( No point and shoot cameras)

Instructor -- Alan Lowy
ALAN LOWY had taught photography for over 30 years, and currently teaches through Cavecreek Photographic Workshops. He has worked as a commercial photographer since 1967, and has won numerous awards for his portrait, fine art figure, photojournalism, and nature photography.
