When learning how to paint, still life exercises help us master the techniques and processes that are the foundation for all other disciplines. In this introductory course we will look at the 4 main aspects of painting a still life: Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. We will work with primary palette of 7 colors that is designed to help us refine our understanding of values, color relationships and color theory. Practicing this way will help sharpen our observation, and take our skills to a new level.
