The event will start with a tour of Narcisi's wine cellar - The Tank Room - with an in-depth explanation of the wine making process. We will then continue in The Library room (above our Tasting Bar) where we will dive into the extensive tasting of 5 wines. We will describe the grape varieties, the vinification process and the most effective way to learn about wine, following the 5 steps of a “proper” tasting. Each wine will be paired with fabulous gourmet pizza tastings made by our very own chef Mullen; you will be amazed to see how the pizzas pair with the wine and amplify the perception of flavors and aromatics of the wine, and vice versa!

Most of the pizza options will be different than last year’s offerings.


This event will take place at Narcisi Winery, 4578 Gibsonia Rd, Gibsonia, PA 15044. Transportation is on your own. The cost is $55 per person and guests are permitted. Space is limited.

Roberto is a native of Italy where, as most Italians, he started interacting with wine at the early age of 3, “assisting” his grandfather in the art of making dry reds, in Calabria, southern Italy.

After attending the University of Bologna, Roberto moved to the US, to Pittsburgh, where he also completed a degree at the University of Pittsburgh while working as the tasting room and events manager at Narcisi Winery, in Gibsonia.

After being promoted General Manager, Roberto earned a 2 year certificate in Enology - the science and study of wine and winemaking - and Viticulture -the cultivation and harvesting of grapes -from HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College). He is also in the process of obtaining his WSET 2 Diploma.

Now Director of Operations at the winery, on top of his many daily duties, Roberto puts together classes, tasting events, wine dinners and is never shy about running tours of the wine cellar where he pulls from his knowledge and experience for all those interested in engaging in the fascinating world of wine.
