Discovering the artistic benefits of adding abstraction to your realistic work as a way to achieve movement, an eye-catching style or a sense of the unexpected. Harper will bring one of her current paintings in progress for examination and discussion. Students will bring a painting already in progress with their reference to work on in class. The painting should be at "drawing stage" on a lightly toned canvas or panel of any size.
