About the Audition Workshop
Audition workshops are a one-time classroom opportunity for both inexperienced and experienced performers alike. Participants will work with a CCT teaching artist on perfecting their audition. They will also cover important audition tips, how to format a resume, and audition etiquette.
What Should I Bring?
Participant should arrive ready to present material outlined in the audition announcement, dressed and ready to perform as if it were the actual audition - like a practice run! If the audition announcement states there will be readings from a script (instead of a monologue or song), these will be provided in the workshop.
Other Tips
- CCT has scripts available to rent beginning three weeks prior to the audition. We highly recommend you read the script prior to the audition workshop.
- If you are auditioning for a musical and are having trouble choosing what song to sing, bring some options to the workshop and the teaching artist will help you decide
- Please ask questions! If something is not covered that you want to know, ask the teaching artist, or call the Education Office at 614.224.6673
*Note: Participation in a CCT Audition Workshop does not guarantee casting in a CCT production.
