Embark on a week-long theatrical adventure inspired by the world of “Mean Girls Jr.” at our immersive theatre camp. Tailored to different age groups, participants will be divided into cohorts to ensure a personalized and age-appropriate experience. Throughout the week, students will rotate through a dynamic schedule of on-stage performance classes, including acting, singing, and dancing, as well as hands-on backstage technical classes such as design, stagecraft, costuming, lighting, sound, and carpentry.  

About the show:

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.

In the on-stage performance classes, students will delve into youth friendly versions of the characters and narrative of this blockbuster film and Broadway hit!

Behind the scenes, our backstage technical classes will immerse students in the ways of top tier theatre production. Whether it's designing sets that capture your favorite scenes from the show, crafting costumes that embody the essence of Cady and the Plastics, or mastering the technical intricacies of lighting, sound, and stagecraft, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the behind-the-scenes magic that contributes to the success of a Broadway hit.
