Boston Symphony Orchestra - Bruch/Mahler

Join Osher at Dartmouth for a musical day at the Boston Symphony Orchestra for this special performance with Conductor Joana Mallwitz and Violinist Joshua Bell. The performance will feature Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 (1866) which was originally written for Joseph Joachim, and Mahler's Symphony No. 1 (1887 - 1888), a piece that transformed the genre. 

We will travel to Boston, departing from Lebanon at 8:15 AM. We will arrive in Boston about two hours before the performance begins at 1:30 PM, leaving time for you to explore on your own! We will leave Boston immediately after the performance, returning to Lebanon around 6:30 PM.

 

This event is open to the public – registration is required. Your registration fee includes the cost of transportation and admission to the performance; it does not include meals or other expenses.

    NOTE: Have a ticket to the performance already or want to spend time in Boston without attending the symphony? There's a special bus-only option for each of our BSO trips. On arrival in Boston (around 11:00 AM), you'll disembark with everyone else at Symphony Hall. From there, the afternoon is yours! Meet us back at Symphony Hall at 3:45 PM to board the bus for the return trip home.
