Fall (3 to 6.5 hours) | Registration opens 8/13/2026 12:00 AM EDT

The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD will present Mozart’s Cosí fan tutte and Verdi’s Macbeth at the Hop this fall. Before the curtain rises, join us for an introduction of the two works. We will explore the historical worlds that shaped these masterpieces, compare the lives and artistic styles of their composers, and examine the stories, characters, and music that make each opera unique. Along the way, we’ll discuss the different traditions of opera from the 18th century comic opera to the 19th century Italian tragedy.
