Divine Universe — Physics, Religion, and What’s Next (In-person)

Fall (15 to 16.5 hours) | Registration opens 8/13/2026 12:00 AM EDT

Goals: Discover a divine universe, find a personal purpose through the divine, reduce fear of the unknown, and provide hope and strength.

Content: The course will facilitate a self-developed participant awareness that there is a primary force in the universe. Participants will observe “proofs” of a universe that Is eternal, all-pervasive, all-powerful, includes humans, and identifies reasons why humankind can and must be a part of that force. The learning process will be based on Thomas Aquinas, Saint Augustine, Teilhard de Chardin, and Paul Tillich. Participants will use new understandings to find direction, add value to our world, and become stronger in fulfillment of purpose. Participants will discover their new understandings are consistent with religion.

Importance: The extraordinary progression of scientific discoveries combined with increasing hopelessness, lack of purpose, and despair craves a new sense of direction.

Expectations: Be willing to search for answers to questions, pose theories, and tolerate the views of others. Discussions are led in a Socratic style and will be flexible depending on responses.

This course will consist of discussions between the Study Leader and participants.
