THIS IS THE (IN-PERSON/ZOOM) REGISTRATION OPTION FOR THIS COURSE!

We, homo sapiens, are capable of developing a deep understanding of nature, matter, and the universe. In our course we will learn how our curiosity morphed from beliefs into the scientific method that enables us to find objective ways to understand nature in more detail. We will explore how scientists find and correct mistakes that were made on our journey of discovery. With the progress that science has made, we will discuss if all secrets of the universe will ever be known.

In the nine sessions of this course we will focus on:

  • Religions & Beginning of Science - is there life after death?
  • Cosmos & Universe - is there a beginning and an end?
  • Biology & Evolution - is the large brain in human beings a result of evolution?
  • Alchemy & Chemistry - can Gold be made from any other material?
  • Physics & Electromagnetic Waves - why does light travel in a vacuum?
  • Exploring the Smallest & Largest - how were heavy atoms formed?
  • Human Body & Mind - Love, Trust, Morality: Is it just Brain Chemistry?
  • Science of War & Peace - is war a perpetual apparition of human life?

We will be exploring branches of science and discussing the connections and interactions with our daily lives and our worldview.

This course will combine lecture with class discussions.

  • There are no required books for this course.
