Island Travel (In-person)
Winter (14+ hours) | Registration opens 11/23/2026 12:00 AM EDT
If you are adventurous and like to travel, what could be better than visiting islands? It is my hope to share with you trips my wife and I have taken to some of the many islands that we have been to over the years. Some are large, like Iceland and the British Isles. Some are small, like Cocos and Socorro in the Eastern Pacific. Some are close to home, like Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Some are distant, like the Maldives or the Falklands. It is scuba diving adventures that have lured us to many tropical islands. These presentations will be in the form of slide shows. Participants will be encouraged to share their travel adventures. I have given more than a dozen travel classes to ILEAD and Osher participants. The last three were about trips to our National Parks, to Canada, and to countries in Europe. So do you have a favorite island, real or imaginary?
This course will combine lecture with class discussion.
