The Contemplative Art of Fly Fishing (Zoom)

Winter (4 - 8.5 hours) | Registration opens 11/23/2026 12:00 AM EDT

Fly fishing invites us to slow down, pay attention, and enter into a close relationship with water, weather, fish, and one another. Both sessions are via Zoom.

In Session One, we’ll explore its contemplative side: how patience, focus, sensory awareness, and the continual return to the present moment can make fishing meditative, restorative, even wondrous. We’ll consider fly fishing as an antidote to distraction, a source of connection across differences, and a practice in which process matters as much as outcome.

In Session Two, we’ll turn to getting started in New Hampshire: reading water, basic skills and gear, where to fish, and how to build confidence on the stream. Anglers of all experience levels are welcome - including those who are fly-fishing curious, e.g., never tried before and want to learn about it. Come find your current.
