Landscape Painting: Principles & Practice

Workshop | Available

Through morning lectures, hands-on critiques, and practical demonstrations, Robbie will share the foundational principles and practical tips that have sustained his career as a full-time artist. The focus will be landscape oil painting, with an emphasis on mountainscapes. Many core principles will be parallel to those taught by his artist father, Robert Moore, yet shared from a fresh perspective. Artists will leave with a renewed sense of confidence and tools to break through a multitude of painting and visual challenges. Students are welcome to bring their own photos, but reference photos will be provided by Robbie. Come ready to paint! Instagram

Robbie Moore

As the fifth child of renowned Western American Impressionist Robert Moore, Robert Daniel Moore (Robbie) was raised to beauty that surrounded him. From an early age, he was immersed in the world of fine art. He remembers painting trips to the mountains, trips to the Scottsdale Art School to assist at workshops, and countless interactions with those who make their living in the fine art world. This childhood naturally instilled in him a need to partake in his father's quest to capture and share visual beauty.

Robbie is currently represented by six fine art galleries across the Western United States. Known for his grand landscapes, his work evokes fond memories and familiar feelings in his viewers. Still early in his career, Robbie continues to invest his time in plein air events, gallery sponsored shows, and workshops alongside his father. He looks forward to a lifetime of artistic development and expression.
