Intro to Hand Sewing

In this class, students will learn basic hand-sewing skills and techniques while making a functional tote bag! They will explore basic pattern making, various hand stitches, embroidery, sewing buttons and fasteners, and ironing. The materials are provided, including a sewing kit to take home.
Hunter Schineller
A born-and-raised Arizonan, she attended West Texas A&M University for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Along with being an art educator, she is an experienced theater practitioner and costumer. She works and teaches in a variety of materials, including acrylics, sewing, rendering, and watercolors, and finds inspiration in abstract art, nature, and the sky.
