National award winning artist Gerald Ruggiero will cover a wide range of techniques possible in the monotype process including additive and subtractive approaches, ink rolling methods, ghost prints, and “Chine Colle”. Students will learn “Additive” and “Subtractive” techniques used in the image making process. With demonstration and guidance from the instructor each student will learn how to compose a monotype using all design elements such as line, color, value, edge and texture. This high-energy workshop will give students a truly fun experience while acquiring critical skill sets that can be used in any art form moving forward.
