Her work also includes mosaics, painting and sculpture and the ephemeral art of street painting. Holly believes in Public Art. She enjoys getting people excited about Science and bringing its beauty to the street. “The pastels allow me to create images and express ideas I can't always convey in glass.” You can see some of her glass on the Facebook page Artist Holly Lynn Schineller or her street painting work on Facebook page Holly Grounded.

Darlene Curtis is an Arizona native. She has lived in other states throughout her life but has always come back to Arizona. As a child, she showed a creative side and mainly created fantasy art in pencil and pen/ink. It wasn't until she was older that she started creating in a variety of different mediums from color pencil, acrylics, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and street art. One of her favorite forms of art to create are Ooak (one of a kind) mixed media Art Dolls. Darlene loves the process of creating something from nothing and watching it come to life, no matter what medium she is creating in. She also enjoys teaching and helping students be creative in any medium that they choose. artofdmcurtis.blogspot.com

Price, Nancy

My paintings are meant to be a visual reprieve from the stresses of everyday life. I grew up surrounded by art that my parents collected from trips around the world. Although I have always been drawn to various creative arts, including painting, photography and poetry, my educational background is as a clinical social worker. I soon recognized the healing power of art, combining art with therapy when helping young children overcome the trauma of abuse. The process of painting is meditative and spiritual as well, which is what led me as a young adult to begin painting. Since then, I have a constant tug to create and an insatiable desire to translate my thoughts and visions into paintings. My paintings are meant to capture the essence and mood of a scene rather than a detailed mirror image. I paint in a variety of mediums, but especially enjoy working in a loose, impasto style with thick oil paint, visible palette knife strokes and vibrant colors. After moving to the Southwest, I became inspired by the California Impressionist movement. I paint to express the awe and gratitude I feel being in proximity to amazing desertscapes, mountains and the ocean. The sky seems larger here, which nurtures my particular fascination with clouds. However, I am also intrigued by the play of light and shadows on everyday objects. Being surrounded by nature is a deep experience with its own language that I aspire to recreate on canvas. By sharing my work, I hope to convey an intimate peek into my stunning world view. www.nancypriceart.com
