The focus of this workshop is to allow each student to set their priorities of interest. Making a clear statement and defining one’s intentions comes from a solid foundation of the basic vocabulary of painting. During the workshop there will always be two simultaneous
conversations occurring; one to the class as a whole and the other one tailored to each individual student. Some areas of study that the workshop will cover are: How the principles of light work to create value and color relationships, edges, gradations and the turning form of three dimensions out of two-dimensional flat shapes. Students will find a place where their understanding of the painting process ends and a struggle begins, it is there Dan wants to meet them and guide them to the next level. www.danrobinsonpaintings.blogspot.com
