As in all of Camille Przewodek’s workshops, students will be concentrating on the development of a strong start in color. The class will focus on expressing the big masses, light key, and aerial perspective to establish the illusion of the figure in space (both indoor and outdoor). Camille will do a demo each morning. After her demo, students will do a color study before lunch, followed by two color studies in the afternoon. Besides brushes, students will be encouraged to use a palette knife for these studies. Students will achieve the effect of light on their subject through accurately relating the big notes of color. Camille looks forward to working with each of you! www.przewodek.com

Przewodek, Camille

Camille Przewodek's creativity is centered around her excitement over light. Light as it falls on the landscape at specific times of day and under specific conditions. In addition to her art training at Wayne State University in Detroit, and earning a BFA in Illustration at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, Camille Przewodek studied painting with master colorist Henry Hensche at the Cape School of Art in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Her approach to capturing the colors and light effects of nature has garnered extensive coverage in numerous books and magazine articles, and her paintings have been featured in national ad campaigns for clients Alfa Romeo, Target, Loews Hotels, and others. Camille teaches a limited number of painting workshops across the country each year—however, she does offer regular weekly classes close to home at her studio in Northern California, and has recently developed an online, "long distance learning" program for her students to continue their color study after a workshop.
