Magic Wands and Walking Sticks ...
Trees in nature are magical already but when they share their wood, we have the opportunity to create. In this workshop we'll use sticks and branches from Fig, Pecan, Mesquite and Royal Paulownia trees. We will add a variety of art materials and found objects to infuse the wood with our own magic and imagination.

  • $5 per family member
  • All supplies included.
Schineller, Holly

Contemporary Street Painter, Public Art, Glass Holly Schineller, a resident of Tempe, Arizona, attended both the California College of the Arts & Arizona State University to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art. Visual Art is her means of processing the inspiration she finds in nature, the sciences and mathematics. For the last six years her commercial work has been focused on warm glass including functional serving pieces, trophies and architectural installations. Her work resides in businesses, public institutions and private collections. Holly teaches beginning warm glass classes around Arizona and joined the team at the Scottsdale Artists' School in the summer of 2014. She spends the majority of her volunteer time in the artistic and nontheistic communities focusing on raising questions and inspiring people to think creatively. Her work also includes mosaics, painting and sculpture and the ephemeral art of street painting. Holly believes in Public Art. She enjoys getting people excited about Science and bringing its beauty to the street. “The pastels allow me to create images and express ideas I can't always convey in glass.” You can see some of her glass on the Facebook page Artist Holly Lynn Schineller or her street painting work on Facebook page Holly Grounded.
