This is the portrait class where you choose who to portray. I believe that we bring more energy and commitment to sculpting a loved one or inspirational character. We will also have live models for those who wish to work from life. Students of this class may wish to do a relief portrait, instead of, or in addition to a 3-D portrait in the round. We live in an age where images are easily obtained, past and present. Many students like work from Ipads. I myself prefer photocopies which allow you to see several variations at a glance. One of the most critical factors is selecting suitable photos that show structural information. I will provide a guide in advance of the class to describe what to look for in a photo. The guide will also offer suggestions for taking photos of your subject and avoiding problems that happen with lighting and distortion. We will still cover the same basic structural and anatomical information needed to give the head integrity. www.eugenedaub.com
