The purpose of intuitive painting is to free yourself of all judgments about yourself as an artist and to trust your innate creativity and intuition. In a relaxed and rule-free atmosphere, students will make a number of nonobjective (abstract) paintings. Students will use acrylic paint and a variety of tools usually not associated with painting, e.g. cut cardboard, pieces of cloth, sponges, combs, twigs, even the palms of their hands if they wish. The second part of the workshop will be focused on choosing the best parts of their large paintings with the use of viewfinders and turning them into independent art pieces ready to be framed, reproduced, or made into greeting cards. The workshop is all about allowing yourself to be the artist you truly are. www.dlootherside.wixsite.com/dotsart
