Do you like the sparkle of highlights on crystal and the shine of silver and gold? Explore the challenge of painting glass and metallic objects in watercolor! Artists through centuries have been compelled to portray them in their artwork. In this workshop, students will study and explore ways to approach this most intriguing of subjects in the challenging medium of watercolor. Learn about glazing for color and depth and lifting for soft highlights. Students will do some practice paintings covering both metallic and transparent surfaces. There will be an elaborate set-up staged for a larger painting. Students will work from the actual set-up as well as taking photographs of the still life to continue and finish at home. www.cynthiapetersonfineart.com
