This course will provide attendees with a basic understanding of legal issues that are particularly relevant to business owners and managers. In this course, attendees will be introduced to many of the corporate formalities necessary to protect their businesses from scrutiny with the IRS, state and possible claimants. They will also be introduced to the various management structures of businesses and how to plan for transition periods in management and control. Lastly, students will receive a general overview of the life cycle of a lawsuit and what steps to take to best protect themselves and their businesses.
