Harm Reduction Approaches and Medication Assisted Treatment will discuss both approaches and how these are being utilized both locally and in other states. Information will be included about needle exchange programs, safe injection sites, the use of test strips for drug potency, the distribution of Narcan, etc.. We will also discuss medication assisted treatment such as methadone, suboxone, and vivitrol and how these drugs can positively impact treatment outcomes.
