Study color under the Chair of Painting at PAFA author of the book Color For Painters: A Guide to Traditions and Practice. Learn the core theoretical traditions of color by focusing on the primary sources, traditions and practices of color in western oil painting. Lectures and demonstrations will be combined with studio exercises.



Hands on painting will take place every day and students will accomplish a number of paintings by the end of the week. Students will learn how color choices affect visual language. This course is useful and appropriate for beginners to more experienced painters. Students will receive individualized guidance as well as participating in group discussions and critiques.
