Learn to sculpt the human face and capture the traits of personality in clay. You will be able to sculpt a full scale portrait in water clay on a fixed armature, while working from a live model. Instruction will include an introduction to tools and techniques, proportions, structural anatomy, and learning to closely observe the nuances of the human face. Internationally recognized artist Mardie Rees will provide demonstrations, brief lectures, and individual feedback throughout the class. By the end of the session, you will have created one portrait from a live model.
