Learn to paint a still life in stages with Portland-based instructor extraordinaire Eric Wert, beginning with a black and white acrylic grisaille and then applying color in oil glazes. This process allows us to approach complex subjects and compositions in manageable steps, each of which allows the painter to focus attention on particular aspects of the work, from composition and form to color and detail. Students will paint a small still life with special dedication to composition and color.
