Advance your understanding of the human figure’s construction by geometrically breaking down figures as they are posed in space and drawn from observation. This workshop is designed to bridge the gap between standard life drawing practices and anatomical study. Working from a live model, you will systematically draw the figure to fit landmarks within a set proportion system. Emphasis will be given to gesture, balance, and proportion to aid in the illusion of credibility. Students will leave this class with a better understanding of the figure’s key landmarks, form sense, construction, and gain greater ability to render a figure from life and memory.
