In this weekend workshop, you’ll learn how to capture the most essential qualities of a portrait by learning to paint broadly but accurately. The class will include demonstrations and individual student critiques.

  • Canvas- Anything between 16in X 20in and 11in X 14in
  • Brushes- 1- 10in Flat for large coverage, A couple of size 8's and 4's bristle filberts and couple of soft hair 2-4's for detail work.
  • Paint-
  • Cremnitz or Titanium white
  • Cadmium Red
  • Alizarin Crimson (Blue Ridge oil company)
  • Yellow Ochre
  • Cadmium Lemon
  • Ultramarine Blue Deep (Rembrandt)
  • Thinner- Gamsol or Del Sol
  • Paper Towels- Viva
