BECOME A MONITOR! https://www.gageacademy.org/opportunities/

In this introductory course, students will gain technical skills in observational drawing of the live nude model, then learn to transform and reproduce their drawings as experimental prints. Each week will alternate between figure drawing sessions and sessions without the model in the printmaking studio, where students will use their life sketches as inspiration and reference. Techniques in observational and expressive charcoal drawing as well as processes of monotype, ink transfer drawing, and relief printing using oil-based printmaking inks will be introduced. Experimentation in composition, mark-making, layering, and texture is encouraged.
