Experience a clear and intuitive method for mastering the fundamentals of three-dimensional modeling, as well as develop advanced skills that radically improve your ability to see and understand the figure. You work from the same pose for the entire quarter, with the pose also available in the independent Sculpture Reserved Studio on Thursday nights, (enroll separately) — providing you up to 60 hours to develop your work. Class price includes clay and model fees.

  • The academy will provide the clay and armature materials needed for the first day of class.
  • However, Please bring a pair of wire cutting, needle nose pliers the first day of class.
  • The usefulness of the following tools will be discussed during the first session.

  • Fettling Knife Stiff type, Don’t get a flexible type!
  • 8" Calipers aluminum, cheap okay!
  • Plumb bob w/ min 3' string
  • Small Ribbon rake* (Sculpture House 404a) - can often be purchased online at Sculpture house, or occasionally locally at Seattle Pottery Supply, or Artist and Craftsman Supply
