Join Sculptor Mike Magrath for this unparalleled opportunity to study the masterpieces of the Renaissance while refining your drawing skills. During this two-week Florence intensive, students will both draw from the figure model in the studio as well as from sculpture throughout the city. Magrath will teach drawing techniques for depicting these magnificent masterpieces. In addition you will be introduced to some of Europe’s greatest masterpieces installed in the city’s beautiful churches and museums. The evenings offer an opportunity for exploring of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. While weekends offer a chance to travel within Italy.

Workshop pricing: $4,500*/per person double occupancy room in a shared apartment

Note- Those attending solo will be paired with another student.

Thursday, July 1 is the date students will move in to their apartments.
Workshop instruction begins on Fri, July 2 and will end on Fri, July 16, students will move out of their apartments on Saturday, July 17.

Time during the workshop will be divided between drawing from the model in a classroom at our partner school SACI (Studio Arts College International), and drawing sculpture on site in museums. Outside of the classroom, students will have many opportunities to draw and sketch; copying sculptures in places like the Bargello, churches and museums. .
