Capture highly detailed scenes and learn how to create contour drawings, grisaille underpaintings, and watercolor glazes. Simplify complex scenes into initial sketches that are light and loose. Then, learn how to create a grisaille underpainting that brings extraordinary dimension to work.

  • • Sketchbook suitable for wet-media
  • • Any black drawing ink in a bottle, plus a tube of black watercolor paint
  • • Waterproof black pens, Fine (.7) and Micro (.5)
  • • Paint brushes, Rounds #4, #6 and #8
  • • 2B Pencil
  • • Kneaded eraser
  • • Small containers for water plus white plate/yogurt etc. lid to blend ink with water on
  • Easel or table top
  • Paper towels
  • • microphone and camera enabled computer
