Learn to paint the human figure while exploring traditional and contemporary painting methods in oil or water-based media. Working from live models, students will discover essential techniques for capturing a model’s likeness with accuracy and for expressing personal artistic vision with heightened emotive and aesthetic effects. Nicholas will present live demonstrations, individual critiques, and offer a series of lectures designed to equip students with integral knowledge and skills for painting flesh tones and for capturing a compelling sense of light, atmosphere, and form.
