In this fundamental oil painting course, you will learn to stretch, prime, and tone canvas, work with a tonal underpainting, mix a full palette of colors, employ a variety of brush applications, and use painting medium. Over the course of the class, you complete two still life paintings, each designed to improve your comprehension of still life and oil painting techniques. The instructor begins each class with a short lecture/demonstration and devotes the remainder of class time to individual instruction.
