Learn to transform and reproduce your landscape drawings and photographs as experimental prints. Using the local landscape as inspiration, we will first discuss how to break down complex scenes into shapes, values, and colors. Back in the printshop, translate these sketches into prints using mark-making, line, color, collage, and gestural brushstrokes. Printmaking processes of monotype and ink transfer drawing using oil-based printmaking inks will be introduced.
