Join us for a rare, two day, alla prima painting workshop with Gage’s celebrated atelier instructor, Juliette Aristides. Painting from colorful flowers and/or pastries, you will dive into color in this fun, fast-paced still life immersion. Painting quickly and directly teaches the student how to capture the most essential qualities of the subject, using a direct approach. Learn to create thoughtful, interesting arrangements and examine the relationships between masses of value, color and intensity in your still-life painting. Bring your own pastries to paint and try not to eat them on your way to class!
Spring quarter 2020 classes will be held online.
