Bring life to your paintings with this one day workshop! You will learn the classical process to create a wipe-out underpainting of a master copy. Using a glaze, highlights are created by wiping and shadow by layering. This underpainting layer provides a generalized map of light, mid-tone, and shadow that will guide you through the rest of your painting. This tactile, subtractive method allows you to dive right in to the painting while keeping things general and bringing a warm life to the painting. There will be lecture, demo, hands-on working time and critique.
