To assist you in preparing for this class, we have provided a link to the setup / test pages from the conference provider. If you have never used this conference service before please click on the link below so that your PC or device will be ready to participate in this class.

Learn to create experimental prints at home without a press. Bring your drawings and photos as inspiration to create painterly monotypes, detailed ink transfer drawings, and textured prints with found materials. We'll discuss how to translate your images into print using the fundamentals of line, shape, value, and color. This class includes detailed live demos and individual guidance to create a series of multiples.

  • Materials:
  • Soft rubber brayer
  • Plexiglass plate (8x10 or 9x12) (or plexiglass taken from picture frames)
  • Lightweight printmaking paper (Strathmore lightweight (11x14" pad or Rives lightweight)
  • Paint brush, Q-tips, Pencils
  • Printmaking Ink (Speedball water-based block printing ink, black and or/white, red, yellow, and blue if you want to work with color)
  • Watercolor (optional)
