Whether illustrating a children’s book, a day in your life or a pamphlet, this class will help you get your ideas onto paper! Learn to choose which scenes to make visual and why and how to use your skills to make strong images. You will explore thumbnail sketching, photo collage, text, fonts and more. Included are weekly slide shows, drawing time and fun group critiques. All skill levels welcome.

  • Required supplies for this program:
  • • 14 x 17 (minimum size) drawing pad, 30-60# paper weight (I like Bristol)
  • • Pad of color construction paper
  • • #2B drawing pencil
  • • Pencil sharpener
  • • Kneaded eraser
  • • Scissors
  • • Ruler, 12” is fine
  • • White glue or glue stick
