This class is Asynchronous: The class will consist of a weekly recorded demo + 2 hours in class on Zoom + Email Critiques.

Each class will focus on a specific aspect of water and how to represent it in paint, be it its shimmering reflections, the roaring movement of a waterfall or the calm flow of a creek. Students will work from their own photo references in their choice of oil paint or acrylics. The instructor will give detailed demonstrations, while students will have the opportunity to share and discuss their work during class. The class will consist of a weekly recorded demo + 2 hours in class on Zoom

  • Basic Supplies
  • *(2) canvas panels or stretched canvases – 12”x16” is a good size
  • *(1) 8”x10” Fredrix Canvas Pad – this is a pad of canvas sheets for your weekly assignments. You could use (6) 8x10 canvas panels if you prefer.
  • *Brushes & Knives
  • You will need a range of brush shapes and sizes. Use what you have. This list as a reference if you need to purchase brushes.
