Do you like comics? Do you especially like webcomics and webtoons? With the internet and social media, comics have flourished online in the last decade, entertaining us with everything from 4 panel strips to multi-chapter webcomics and webtoons. This has not only evolved comic art itself, but it has also made it more accessible and easier than ever to start your own webcomic. In this class, we will focus on comparing how comics have changed with the internet’s influence, talking about our own comic ideas, and actively applying that to creating our own. By the end of the class, you will have completed a short comic - and you’ll possess the knowledge to share it with the world in the digital age!
