Learn to paint the flora and fauna of the natural world in this relaxed and exciting watercolor and mixed media class. Each week will highlight a new organic theme, including flowers, plants, birds, mammals, and sea life. Just as each of these natural subjects has its own individual qualities, so we will explore using different techniques to render them. Certain textures are best portrayed with a combination of watercolor and colored pencil, while others benefit from laying down carefully shaped, individual marks. Along the way you will also learn about glazing and color mixing, while closely observing the fascinating and beautiful forms of nature’s architecture.
