Learn magically easy techniques to create expressive watercolor pet/animal portraits. Paint with loose, illustrative strokes or hone in on your brush details while painting realistic eyes. Artist Willow Heath will guide you through the step-by-step process of painting 1-3 bright and expressive watercolor animal illustrations that capture the likeness and character of your animal with ease. *No painting experience necessary and no pet necessary, just come with a sense of humor and willingness to experiment and paint animals.

  • Supply List/Pet Portraits
  • 140lb cold press watercolor paper 9x12. Recommended: Canson XL or Winsor & Newton cold press 140lb cotton pad .
  • Watercolor paints artist quality. *Recommendations: Winsor & Newton 14 color travel set
  • Round synthetic watercolor brush assorted sizes 2-6. *Recommended : Princeton Series 4350 Synthetic Golden Taklon Round.
  • 1 flat watercolor wash brush, size 1 inch
  • 1 pencil and non-marking erasure
  • 1 roll artist's tape. Note: artist's tape is not painter's tape.
  • Graphite transfer paper Recommended Saral Brand wax free graphite transfer paper
  • paper towels
  • scissors
  • Pebeo brand drawing gum masking fluid marker.
  • 3-5 pet images PRINTED on standard copy paper(NOT on photo paper or thick paper). These must be clear images, not blurry and must be closely cropped to just the animal.
  • • Easel or table top. • Paper towels • microphone and camera enabled computer • ipad or smart tablet. • smart phone (android or IOS) • Strong internet connection • Excited Attitude!
