By using photographs for reference, we will learn how to exaggerate the anatomy and facial features of figures and animals. We will examine different styles and methods of drawing characters which convey emotion and personality. Students will be encouraged to discover their own unique style, will work on their own ideas, and receive feedback from the class. Guest lecturers will occasionally join us to discuss their careers as professional illustrators. Students may use traditional drawing media on paper, or choose to paint digitally using a tablet and accompanying software.
