Come learn how to draw expressive animal portraits using ink pens! Artist Kristin Frost will guide you through 1-2 ink drawings of animals during this fun online workshop. Ink pens are a great choice for drawing all animals, and especially those with fur, feathers, or animated lines. You will learn many ink mark-making techniques, how to create bold compositions, and the benefits of leaving behind negative space. Come join me for this exciting exploration into ink drawing!

  • By registering for an in-person program at Gage Academy of Art, you agree that you have received full COVID-19 vaccination. Gage recommends the use of face coverings when indoors at the facility. Non-vaccinated students can enroll in any of the on-line programs Gage offers.
  • 1-3 sheets of heavy-duty mixed media or drawing paper (approx. 8”x8 or 8”x10”)
  • Micron ink pens – sizes 005, 01, 03, etc.
  • Pencil
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Optional: Copic or Prismacolor markers for color details
