Artist Michael Newberry, in conjunction with upcoming show at Figure | Ground Gallery, workshop at Gage Academy, recent book on color theory will present the lecture, Secrets to Fresh Color Theory. In the 50-minute zoom presentation Newberry will show examples and discuss sub-dividing a painting into four areas: the color of things; the complimentary colors of light and shadow; the complimentary colors of depth and foreground; and the color of atmosphere. When artists integrate this it gives their artworks stunning freshness, surprise, harmony, and a sense of unlimited possibilities of color patterns. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A.

All art talks are virtual, and will be taking place via Zoom.

Art Talks are FREE to the public, but registration is required.
